Water service infrastructure isn't glamorous work - but it's some of the most important work there is. When a curb stop needs attention, the whole street feels it. We recently wrapped up a curb stop job for the Town of Devens, and it's exactly the kind of work we take seriously from start to finish.

Here's what we were working with - a residential street corner requiring careful excavation to access the curb stop below grade. That means coordinating around traffic, neighboring properties, and existing underground utilities. Not a lot of room for error. We set up a proper traffic control zone with cones to keep the area safe while our crew worked, which is standard practice for us on any street-level utility job.

Our mini excavator did the heavy lifting while the rest of the crew managed the site. That combination - compact equipment paired with experienced hands - lets us work efficiently in tight spaces without tearing up more of the surrounding area than necessary. Getting in and out clean matters, especially in a residential neighborhood.

Curb stops are the shutoff points between the municipal main and a property's water service line. When they fail or need servicing, the municipality needs a contractor they can count on to do it right. We're glad to be that contractor for Devens, and we take the responsibility of supporting public water infrastructure seriously.

This is the kind of utility work we do day in and day out - water service, sewer, site utilities, and emergency response when things go sideways. Whether it's a planned municipal job or an urgent repair, our crew shows up ready.
